If you are under stress (for any reason, like pain) and are not working to bring it down, it keeps building up and can harm your body and daily life. Stress can result from any trauma, injury, surgery, chronic diseases, or happenings of daily life. It affects your testosterone levels, thyroid, nervous system, and more. Your body goes into flight and fight mode. You cannot be healthy unless you get your body out of this state. Meditation helps your body come out of this state into a ‘rest and digest’ state. It makes you think more clearly, along with reducing stress and pain.
